David Baker Hi Rakshith, When will Coldfusion 2018 be released? We are thinking of buying Coldfusion 2016 but should we wait until 2018 is released?
jbrock777 Great news Rakshith! Will there be a ColdFusion portal for getting the latest Java SE / JDK LTS versions from Adobe?
Benjamin Reid According to Rakshith it is due before end of February 2019. https://coldfusion.adobe.com/2019/01/oracle-java-support-adobe-coldfusion/
yogeshsurati Hi Rakshith, I couldn't succeed settling up data source,  any help?
2609632 CF-3818547 External U. Oops... "Rakshith", rather than "Rupesh". I picked the wrong procrastinator ;-)
Aaron Neff Hi Rakshith, +1 for a Windows-based ColdFusion Docker image as I don't use Linux. Thanks! -Aaron
Aaron Neff Hi Rakshith, w00t!! I'm very glad to see another Public Beta =D Thanks!!, -Aaron
Benjamin Reid Did you see this article from Rakshith Naresh (Adobe) ... Oracle’s Java policy change: https://coldfusion.adobe.com/2018/10/oracles-java-policy-change/
Benjamin Reid Oracle JDK is now supported for Java 8 and Java 11 LTS - announced by Rakshith Naresh. https://coldfusion.adobe.com/2019/01/oracle-java-support-adobe-coldfusion/
2608793 CF-3993581 Vamseekrishna N. Closing this bug. The reasoning for the same has been provided by Rakshith in his note dated 25-Aug-16.
Java 11 in production (also not free otherwise). Some may not quite see this as what Rakshith's is saying, as he says that we who are using CF would be  "supported by Adobe directly" to get Java 8 updates and use Java 11 . That phrasing left questions, and Rakshith clarified them in answers

Aaron Neff Hi Rakshith and Charlie, I also don't see the "Upgrade" path. Screenshots here: http://blog.cfaether.com/2018/05/re-upgrade-path-to-coldfusion-2018.html Where is the "Upgrade" option? Thanks!, -Aaron
rcexpo In case anyone else is interested in the answer, I had also emailed Rakshith, to which he replied: Thanks for reaching out. I agree that we only have the AMI today. We are yet to offer an image on Azure. For containers, a perpetual CF Enterprise license will let you
Gary Fenton Thank you Rakshith and the Adobe CF team, this is the best possible outcome.  It's also good news that you'll be making CF 2016 compatible with Java 11 too. Do you recommend customers to upgrade to Java 11 and what are the key benefits please? (Presumably an upgrade guide
Peter Freitag Great news Rakshith and Team! I do have one question, once the Java 8 release ends public updates (after January 2019), how does a ColdFusion customer download them? For Java 7 and below the non-public updates are only avaliable if you login to Oracle to download them.
Ron.Stewart Rakshith: Thanks for the update on this. To be completely clear, does this also mean that use of Oracle's Java SE 8 and 11 in production environments, when used with Adobe ColdFusion, is allowed without the Adobe customer purchasing a separate license from Oracle for that Java use?
2609313 CF-3859758 External U. Hi Rakshith, Thanks for the feedback. I agree this should be fixed. Otherwise, we'll be at CF v20 and still have stuff like this lurking around. I'd have CF12 stay true to its intent on breaking backward-compat. And let's get stuff like this cleaned out. Thanks
2682664 CFB-3779201 Adobe D. 64 bit installer will be taken care by Rakshith or Kishore. Keeping this bug open for tracking purpose. (Comment added from ex-user id:prk)
is that the provided date is considered to be in local timezone and so the UTC timestamp is actually of +8 hrs which is wrong. We are converting this erroneous timestamp (instead of the original UTC time given) Fix is to revert the utc2local conversion code in DateUtils.java to Rev#11 Bug fixed by rakshith Bug

2609313 CF-3859758 External U. Cheers for the thorough feedback, Rakshith. I'd be keen to hear in more detail why fixing this was deemed "too risky". Not in general terms, but in real world technical terms, with an indication of how you did the risk assessment. I say this because sometimes your

Michael Clark Many thanks for this information, Rakshith. I'd be very grateful if you could clarify just one more thing. For those of us who have manually updated Java for CF, where the update is installed outside the ColdFusion root, e.g. C:\Java\jdk1.8.0_191\jre is this covered under Adobe
-05-16 00:00:00'} How? I don't know. I think Adobe need to explain this. The problem actually lies in that ColdFusion should NOT consider '16.51p' to be a date. It's not. There is no world in which that is a date on any description, let alone a representation of May 16, 2015. So, Rakshith can you or one
2609632 CF-3818547 External U. Sorry Rakshith, I find that response unacceptable. There are a million and one ways I can make my server insecure. I could drop a vulnerable unencrypted file into the CFIDE folder. I could modify query.cfc (currently provided unencrypted) to not use query params

Charlie Arehart Thanks, Rakshith. But we must be seeing different results. When I click that button (the one in the top right corner), it goes to the checkout page which reports, "you're buying Adobe ColdFusion Edition (2016 Release)". There is indeed a "type", "platform", and "language" field
Charlie Arehart Rakshith, can you tell folks how they would buy the CF2016 upgrade license? If one visits the CF product page (https://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion-family.html), the only links offered to "buy" are for full versions of CF Std or Ent. (I thought it used to be that in clicking
Charlie Arehart Folks, there are some problems with this post. First, it asserts that many of the new things are enterprise-only in cf2018 when in fact Rakshith confirmed for me that only one is: the distributed caching. You may want to confirm that yourselves and revise this and your original

2609632 CF-3818547 External U. Hi Rakshith, The private security audit should be of the Admin API code, not the CF Admin code. First, the CF Admin should use -only- the Admin API. Then have private security audit of the Admin API. This would allow 2 things: 1) Admin API would have 100% parity w
Charlie Arehart Thanks for this, Rakshith. But there is a problem logging in (as discussed here), at least using the option to login via facebook, and it seems it could be easily solved with a change in the URL used in cffiddle.org to login via FB. First, I'm curious if anyone

BTW, before anyone is tempted to refer to this as "another example of Adobe showing a lack of interest in CF" or worse,  "another nail in the coffin for CF", I would argue it's just a reasonable step in evolution
