Problem Description:
I just ran Updater 4 and as part of that re-ran WSConfig to recreate my web server connectors. I had some modifications to mod_jk.conf and and (as detailed here: WSConfig overwrote those changes. THis is not so bad in itself, but it did not back-up the files first so I can remerge your changes and my changes. I have the expectation that you back-up these files before you mess with them because you DO back-up httpd.conf before you mess with it. Why back-up one file, but not the other files you monkey with?

+1 - I've forgotten too, and lost my as a result. The wsconfig tool should _always_ create a backup of the settings files.

For update 5 I remembered to back-up my and files, but then ColdFusion DELETED THE ENTIRE DIRECTORY, so I lost the back-ups as well. You guys are having a laugh, you really are. Not impressed. -- Adam

In case of removal of connector from tool, user will be asked whether he wants to backup the connector files or not. And accordingly it will be backed up. In case of removal from command prompt, connector files will be backed up by default. Connector files will be backed up in C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\ with name as magicNumber_bak_1 or magicNumber_bak_2 depending on directories already present.

WSConfig now backs up connector configurations after unconfiguration, If configured with the Apache web server, the mod_jk.conf file is also backed up. Backup directory: /config/wsconfig/backup/<originalConfigDirectory>.<incrementedNumber>
