Problem Description:
During an IIS redirect to a CF script when handling a 404 error, the target script page prematurely aborts.
Steps to Reproduce:
Create a custom error handler script and configure IIS to redirect to the handler script.
Actual Result:
The target script frequently fails in the middle of the script somewhere inexplicably.
Expected Result:
The script should execute to completion.

This is related to which indicates the problem was fixed in 2014, however, it is in fact still not fixed, I experience the problem on both CF11 and CF2016. Please review this and fix the problem.

Claire, Just to confirm, CF-3368804 was not closed as fixed, but as a duplicate of CF-3488063. Issues with 404 custom error handler have been reported before, but we have not been able to reproduce the issue at our end, as outlined in CF-3488063. Could you please provide us the below details for us to investigate this further. - CF Version / Update Installed - Connector logs (/config/wsconfig/<configuration>/isapi_redirect.log) showing the said exception. It would be really useful if the debug logs were available. Debug logs can be generated by changing the value of "log_level" to "debug" in The log files can be sent to

I generated the requested Tomcat debug log file with "debug" enabled, and have sent the file to The problem can be seen in the test calls to I ran it the test script four or five times from a browser external from the webserver, and each time, it did not complete successfully. Then I ran it once via a browser running on the webserver directly and it did complete successfully. Hope this helps.

Still reproducible on ColdFuision 2106 Update1 with IIS 404 custom error handler and windows authentication switched on
