Issue: Some developers *prefer* the semicolon requirement. They want an exception if a semicolon is missing.

Suggestion: THIS.requireSemicolons (or similar) which allows those developers to still get an exception upon missing semicolon

Hi Adobe, As Adam noted, this is a compile-time concern, so I suppose a JVM arg would suffice? Main concern is they simply want the old behavior. Thanks!, -Aaron

Aaron - We don't really see a need for this. We can always reconsider in case there are more folks asking for this.

Consider this a negative vote. It's not the job of the compiler to enforcing code quality guidelines / whim. It's the job of a linter.

Hi Vamsee, No problem. I filed it for posterity. Hi Adam, Allowing no semicolons could also be considered catering to the whims. That said, I prefer no semicolons and appreciate the removal of that restriction. Thanks!, -Aaron
