Failure Type: Usability Issue

Found In Build/Fixed In Build: CF 11 Update 15 /

Priority/Frequency: Normal / All users will encounter

Locale/System: ALL / Win 2012 Server x64

Problem Description:
Use the cfhtmltopdf functionality does not generate a pdf which passes Adobe Acrobats PDF Accessibility checker. There is a current bug tracker,, marked as 'Fixed' but this is not fixed.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build variable w/ HTML w/ an image tag that has the 'alt' attribute set
2. Use cfhtmltopdf to generate a PDF file.
3. Run through Adobe Acrobat accessibility checker.

Actual Result:
1. Fails accessibility b/c image tag isn't "tagged"
2. Fails accessibility checker b/c "language" attribute not included. CF 2016 support the language attribute but not CF 11. Will CF 11 be patched?

Expected Result:
1. Pass accessibility checker.

Any Workarounds:

PDF Document and Accessibility report attached. If raw HTML is required let me know but I can assure you the HTML is constructed properly w/ alternate text.

This is a duplicate of the bug with ID: []  We are looking into this for the next version of ColdFusion, and if possible, 1 of the future updates of CF2018/2016

Hi Kailash, CF-3734792 is the true original ticket, marked Fixed but not completely. CF-3864467 is the new original, created by Nimit b/c Adobe apparently didn't want to re-open the true original and fix it completely. History: (true original) (duplicate) (new original; filed by Nimit b/c original wasn't fixed completely) (duplicate) (duplicate) (duplicate) CF-4188979 is definitely not an original of anything. Can you please re-open *CF-3864467? And CF-3910367, CF-4188979 and CF-4203475 should be duplicates of _that_. Thanks! -Aaron
