Problem Description:
PDF creation hangs.

Steps to Reproduce:

Actual Result:
Request stuck.

Expected Result:
Requests don't get stuck.

Any Workarounds:
None.  Restart service.  install hotfix hf201800-1234567.jar



Please include this fix in future Hotfixes and describe why this is happening.

Hi,   Can you share a sample test case where you are seeing this issue? Are you using cfdocument, or cfhtmltopdf for PDF creation?   Thanks, Kailash

We are using cfdocument. This problem happened in CF11 and CF2018. It has happened with and without FusionReactor. We do not know why this is happening or how to reproduce it. The only thing that kills the request is the CF Server timeout of 5 minutes, or within CF Monitor, or FusionReactor.

Bradley, most like this is a duplicate. Like 99.999999% positive it is. Adobe provided us a .jar that removes the synchronized lock that you referenced in the IcePDF. Either way, they need to add this change into their mainstream code release. Did they provide you with this jar? It is named HF201800-1234567.jar. They have provided us with version for CF11 and CF2018. I can confirm it has fixed our problems. If not contact me at aaron.wolfe (You know the thing)

We run into this issue on our production systems every couple of months. We are on CF2016 (latest update as of 12/17/19).

Happens on ColdFusion 2018 Update 7. Where can I find the hotfix specified here?
